Resignation of Club Captain Jeremy Cooper

Dear Members,

We unfortunately accepted Jeremy’s resignation on Monday 11th of January from his official roles he holds at Redwood Park Golf Club. This includes his standing as a Board Member and as the Club Captain.

Over the last four years Jeremy has put in an enormous amount of work totaling a few thousand hours on a purely volunteer basis. Initially, his work on the course was able to be seen by all, but the work behind the scenes to help assist with the management and administration has been hidden from most and perhaps less noted. Significantly, the Clubs' financial performance and improved cash position over the past 2 years is allowing investment in new machinery and options for further investment in the Club infrastructure. The latest move to DotGolf and a new accounting system took longer than expected, but when combined with changes in the staff structure and the creation of the new golf manager post has put the Club in a strong position to continue to grow.

In the roles he has held for the Club over this time he has always had the best interests of the Club and the Course at the forefront. The Board wish to thank Jeremy for all of his time and efforts for the Club. Jeremy has been an integral part of a management team that has worked hard to continually improve the golfing experience for our members.

Jeremy remains a full member of RPGC and I am sure we will see him around the Club as his focuses more on his golf.

As an interim measure, Jim Denyer will be assuming the role as acting Club Captain supported by Adrian Moran as Vice Club Captain.

Any questions can be forwarded to manager@redwoodparkgolf.co.nz in the first instance.

Regards,

Gavin Read

Chairman

On behalf of the Redwood Park Golf Club Management Board
