PASSING OF BRIAN WAGHORN

It is with great sadness to inform you that one of our longstanding members, Brian Waghorn, passed away just one week short of his 92nd birthday.

Brian joyned the club on 1 July 1987 and soon proved himself by being elected as President of the club in 1992 and 1993. He was also involved in managing the club for years and helped phycically to build the majority of buildings that make up the club and out-buildings. He was bestowed a Honourary Life Membership. He resigned his membership at our club in 2022 as it became difficult for him to travel.

When Brian's daughter Lynda informed us of his passing, she stated that Brian was still playing two rounds of golf each week and that Redwood Park will always hold a special place in their family's heart; not at least for all the working bees they got dragged on over the years.

There is no funeral as he was cremated.

The family will celebrate his life on his bithday the 7th of June.
